Template Tools - Recreating the Index (Desktop)

What it is: A Template Tools function that rebuilds the table of contents (index) of the Annual Financial Statements to include any sheets that have been added since the file was last set up.

What it's for

When a custom sheet is inserted into the AFS, it does not automatically appear in the index with the correct page number. Recreating the index scans all current sheets and rebuilds the index page, assigning automated page numbers to every item — including newly added sheets.

How to do it

1. After adding a custom sheet to the Annual Financial Statements, navigate to Template Tools.
2. Select Recreate Index.
3. Select Yes to confirm.
4. The index is rebuilt and the newly added sheet appears with an automated page number.
